Frumps To Pumps Day 1

Today we read about being perfect in God's eyes. Yep, perfect! Whether in frumps or pumps! How wonderful to think we can be perfect in a frumpy outfit. He created us in his image so how could we be anything other than perfect? I know that I don't think that I am perfect but maybe being dressed everyday will help my self esteem and help me to see what God sees.

Today's challenge was to
1) choose a time to be dressed by everyday. For me that is 9:30. The kids are usually up by 7/7:30 and need to eat and get dressed for the day so 9:30 seems like good time.
2) choose a way to track and reward
I'm going to track using a sticky note app on my iPad that way I can write down some notes about that day as well. As for my reward....well I'm not sure, maybe a new pair of jeans for accomplishing this challenge.
3) my person to keep me accountable will be my sister. I haven't exactly told her..I guess I may want to do that soon!

Frumps to Pumps Motivational Ebook

I am so excited to be to starting a wonderful motivational called "Frumps To Pumps" by Sara Mae over at I definitely struggle with getting dressed every morning- more like I get dressed only when we are going somewhere or someone is coming over! I know that it is somewhat acceptable since I have a 1 month old, but I also know it will help me feel better about myself, my post pregnancy body, and will also help my mood since I will feel pretty.

Tomorrow will start day 1! I will post tomorrow's challenge and how I did tomorrow night!

Want to join me?? Head over to and get the Ebook! Also available for kindle and nook!

When The World Around You

When the world around you seems like it is falling apart...what do you do? Where do you turn? Who do you turn to? What comforts you? Can anything make you feel at peace?
For me, I turn to God and my family. I'm not sure I could ever survive without them. Just knowing that I can pray to a God that is a God of action eases my mind. And having family that I can talk to, cry to/with and lean on is something I sometimes take for granted.

My Grandma is in the hospital right now fighting congestive heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and pneumonia. She was put on a ventilator and feeding tube so they could get her to rest and pump her full of meds to try and get her better. They wake her up every morning to make sure she is OK, and she is even waking up during the day on her own. Yes even though they have her on sedation meds. The meds are helping and she may come off the ventilator soon. I pray she does and that she comes home soon. I can't wait for her to meet Jax!

When I called my cousin to check on him and make sure he was handling all this ( our Grandma was very much like a mom to him and she holds a very special place in his heart) we sat on the phone and just cried together. It was comforting, yes it was sad, but it was also comforting. I have never been so open with anyone like that (even if it was over the phone) other than my husband.  My heart was breaking for so many reasons all at once.

We are and will continue to pray for you Grandma Polly for healing and for you to come home soon.
